What is the Online Student Group?

What is a student group
The idea behind this forum is to connect students who would like to improve their motivation, skills, and finally, results regarding their education. By communicating with other people that are in similar situation, exchanging ideas and information, hearing different experiences, the student will feel more motivated and will have better chances at achieving his or her goal.
Why is there a need for an online student group
Normally, a university student should have a similar group in real life, with friends and colleagues. However, many times this isn't the case either because of not having friends who are willing to contribute to a such group or because the group doesn't provide the value that a member student would appreciate, or some other reason. Forming such a group online provides opportunity to students in different parts of the world to connect to other students who can and want to help them. This way the geographical and many social barriers are broken.
Who does this interest
Everybody who wishes to improve their learning skills, especially students in a formal educational system.
How does the group work
There are several ways in witch the group will work:
1. Sharing information
What somebody already tried and had good results with can be very helpful to others because it wont be necessary to make the same mistakes in the process. What is a problem to one person isn't to another one.
2. Helping through group association and synergy
When a student starts to actively participate in a group the student will start to think more in the direction of the group. Having a positive, good informed, same interest group will push the individual much more than what the individual student could do alone.
3. Discussing literature about learning
The paradox of the education system is that the students are expected to learn for 12+ years but no body tells them how to actually do that. The students are tought a lot of things but teaching "how to learn" is still an exception in the world. That's why it is necessary to explore all material there is about learning. Doing this with a group is much easier and smarter than doing it alone.
4. Giving advices and different perspectives on a situation
Many times a problem can be solved with just a little perspective from the outside.
5. Comforting
There are always many ups and downs, especially in the educational process and having somebody to talk to, somebody who can very much relate to is many times to only thing a person needs. Never give up is a very good advice but doing that alone can be to tough to handle.
